Tyrion is sold at auction and meets his new master. He ponders this while seeing Balon Swann and Osmund Kettleblack sworn in as the latest members of the Kingsguard. Tyrion has learned that Winterfell has fallen to the Greyjoys and while celebrating the Starks’ misfortune, he cannot help but feel that there is something not right about it. Tyrion sends Shagga and the other mountain clansmen to the Kingswood to harry and delay Stannis’ army as it finally makes its way to King’s Landing. Mackelly and Simon dip a finger in the boiling oil. And Varys has foiled a plot to open the gates to Stannis. The pyromancers have more than delivered on their wildfire promise.
